BDC Outdoor Dance Class Guide

Here is all the info you need for dancing in our outdoor dance classes.

What to Wear, What to Bring:
Warm clothes! Think of hiking. We recommend lots of layers. Outdoor classes will continue to be held during inclement weather. Students need to arrive in their chosen outfit as our dressing rooms are not currently open for changing. We recommend the following:

  • Dancers should wear a base layer of Recommended Classroom Attire. This makes them feel professional and special.

  • Warm-ups: form fitting sweater, sweat pants, hat, gloves, warm socks. Puffy jacket when the weather is cooler.

  • Slip-on shoes for getting easily on and off the platforms.

  • Water bottle full of water or a thermos of hot tea or cocoa.

  • Masks for all dancers age 3 and older. Dancers should have a mask they feel comfortable exercising in.

Covid Protocols

Masks are required for everyone age 3 and older, indoors and outdoors, regardless of vaccine status. All faculty and dancers eligible for the vaccine are required to be vaccinated. All indoor spaces have commercial grade HEPA filters.

Restrooms
Please use the bathroom at home before arrival.

Parking
The BDC parking lot and driveway are closed as the Outdoor Dance Studio is in the parking lot and I am worried about safety. I thank you in advance for your patience and creativity. There are three parking spots on Madison just south of BDC. We can fit three or so cars on Wallace along the BDC property. Please do not block our neighbors' driveway or mailboxes as they rightfully get very angry with us. There is more street parking east on Wallace just past co-housing. Some people even park down at the Tot Lot which is south of us on Madison. Let me know if you have trouble with parking/drop off/pick up so I can try to figure out some other options.

Absences & Dropping Classes
Please let us know if you will be absent or need to drop their class. Tuition is partially refundable (85%) until February 1st. After February 1st, tuition is non-refundable except in the case of injury or illness.
